About this program
The LAB program is a culturally responsive initiative designed to teach job readiness through entrepreneurship, reflecting the strong entrepreneurial spirit found in our East African community, particularly among women. By drawing on the rich heritage of our mothers and grandmothers, who became businesswomen to provide for their families, LAB offers young East African girls a powerful launching pad for future success, grounding them in a tradition of resilience and innovation.
For: East African Girls, Ages 14-18 who live or go to school in Seattle.
Days/Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30-6:30p.m*
Location: Rainier Vista
The Leadership & Business Development Program (LAB) is an 8-week paid opportunity serving high school aged, refugee and immigrant girls interested in community building and entrepreneurship.
